Sprucehollow Financial passes requests to funding partners. It does not decide on funding, set rates or terms, or promise that any request leads to an offer.
What happens to a request sent to Sprucehollow Financial
Sprucehollow Financial takes a request by phone or through the request form, talks through which funding type fits the purpose, and passes the request to funding partners that offer that type. It does not review a request for approval, decide whether a business is funded, or hold or disburse funds.
Who sets the rate, amount and terms of an offer
A funding partner that reviews a request decides whether to make an offer and sets the amount, rate or factor rate, term, charges, collateral and any other conditions. An offer is between the business and that partner. Any examples or ranges on this site are illustrations, not quotes.
Merchant cash advances on this site
A merchant cash advance is not a loan. The provider buys a share of future card or bank sales, and the agreed amount is collected as a percentage of those sales or as fixed remittances. Factor rates, holdbacks and the total collected are set by the provider in its agreement.
What the site does not arrange, and how its figures work
Trucking and agriculture funding requests are outside what Sprucehollow Financial passes on. Business counts on the site come from Census Bureau programs (County Business Patterns, ZIP Code Business Patterns, Nonemployer Statistics and the American Community Survey), each named with its year; worked examples use invented figures and are labeled that way; the calculator does arithmetic only and sends nothing anywhere.
